Triage Desk (Temporary)
n/a | |
Purpose of the Triage Desk:
From mid-October through the week following Election Day, the Triage Desk will provide additional capacity to All Voting is Local's state teams during the highest-volume portion of the election cycle. This is a temporary role that will last for one month: October 13 - November 13, 2026.
The Desk exists to help identify, organize, route, and track emerging needs so State Directors can remain focused on executing their state strategies.
Requirements:
- Participate in virtual boiler room operations between October 13 - October 30 and November 8 - November 13.
- Attend and participate in an in-person boiler room in Washington, D.C., starting on Sunday, 11/1 and ending on Saturday, 11/7.
- For candidates who are not local to D.C., travel and accommodations will be covered by All Voting.
- $2,200 per week from October 13 - October 30 and November 8 - November 13 (virtual boiler room)
- $3,200 for the week of November 1-7 (in-person boiler room)
Core Responsibilities:
- Monitor and identify emerging needs by staying in regular communication with assigned states and maintain awareness of emerging election administration issues, threats, partner needs, and opportunities.
- The goal is not simply to collect information, but to identify: What is happening? Does it require action? Who needs to know? What support does the state need?
- Help distinguish between:
- Issues the state team can handle directly;
- Requests that require national All Voting capacity;
- Issues requiring compliance, communications, research/data, or other specialized support;
- Significant developments that need to be elevated to organizational leadership.
- Track issues
- Maintain visibility into significant requests and emerging issues.
- For items requiring follow-up: What is the issue, who owns the next step, what is the deadline, has it been resolved?
- Surface patterns across states flag when similar issues are emerging in multiple states. What looks isolated in one state may represent a broader pattern requiring national attention or coordination.
- Immediately elevate issues that may:
- create substantial legal or operational risk;
- require rapid communications or organizational response;
- represent a significant escalation in election threats or interference;
- require resources or decisions beyond the State Director's authority; or have implications beyond the individual state.
