About the Role:
The Compliance Associate will be responsible for supporting programmatic compliance for All Voting (501c3) and All Voting is Local Action (AVLA) (501c4.) This role will be critical in supporting the execution of the compliance policies and programmatic procedures of both All Voting and All Voting is Local Action. This will entail effectively gathering and critically assessing key information while collaborating with the Compliance Counsel to provide compliance guidance that protects the organization from risk. 

This is a remote position. 


This is a full-time, temporary position through March 2025.

What You Will Do:
  • Identify and understand compliance regulations applicable to All Voting and AVLA, specifically in their work related to election administration and election policy advocacy.
  • Provide support to staff to ensure they are aware of and meet compliance requirements including but not limited to state and local registration and reporting requirements. 
  • Review, draft, edit, and provide compliance recommendations on campaign plans, grants, and any external facing communication (i.e. social media, traditional media in collaboration with Compliance Counsel).
  • Regularly communicate compliance activities, progress, and challenges to the Compliance Counsel.

 
What You Will Bring:
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited university. 
  • Four plus (4+) years of experience with years of applying relevant federal, state, and local nonprofit compliance requirements in organizations with 501c3 and 501c4 structures.
  • Knowledge of and applicable experience with campaigns, election administration, election policy, or election law.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills with a strong ability to facilitate collaborative problem-solving to reach solutions.
  • Strong communications skills, including the following:
    • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to and appreciation for diverse viewpoints, different communication styles, and diverse colleagues and collaborators.
    • Strong written, verbal, and listening skills. Ability to present expertise in a manner that is accessible and inclusive.
    • Ability to effectively manage expectations and follow through on commitments.
  • Ability to travel, on occasion, to All Voting’s DC office and for retreats or other organizational needs; may require evening and weekend working hours during critical and/or peak periods.

 
Desired Qualifications:
A Juris Doctorate is desired but not required.

Salary Range:
$74,090 to $82,045 (commensurate to experience)
